A curse spell is any spell that causes a negative effect to its target other than damage, such as lowering stats. Curses are an rarely used part of Magic, mainly because spellcasters have little time to waste on casting non-combat spells. In long fights, using a curse spell or two at the beginning may be a very good idea. Curse spells can only be used once for a short period of time for most opponents; unless the curse 'splashes' and does not affect the opponent, or you are 'battling' a dummy. There are dummies located throughout RuneScape, but the best place to train on dummies is in Lumbridge. You can also get free air and mind (30) runes from the Magic Tutor in Lumbridge. Please note that you can only get the runes every 30 minutes and that the Magic Tutor will not give you air or mind runes if you have any in your inventory or bank

Confuse icon Confuse Reduces your opponents attack by 5%.
Weaken icon Weaken Reduces your opponents strength by 5%.
Curse icon Curse Reduces your opponents defence by 5%.
Bind icon Bind Prevents your opponent from moving for 5 seconds. Does not always work, but may inflict damage. Increased accuracy when wearing charged Druid robes.
Snare icon Snare Prevents your opponent from moving for 10 seconds. Does not always work, but may inflict damage. Increased accuracy when wearing charged Druid robes.
Vulnerability icon Vulnerability Reduces your opponents defence by 10%.
Enfeeble icon Enfeeble Reduces your opponents strength by 10%.
Entangle icon Entangle Prevents your opponent from moving for 15 seconds. Increased accuracy when wearing charged Druid robes.
Charge icon Charge This spell temporarily increases the maximum damage of the three God Spells to 30 for about 7 minutes. The corresponding God Cape must be worn along with the staff in order for the spell to get the damage increase. You can cast this spell every minute and a half (90 seconds).
Stun icon Stun Reduces your opponents attack by 10%.
